General

The main computer has detected an incorrect condition and restarted the control unit. This usually occurs in connection with a message of the safety computer.

Should this fault reoccur, please inform the VOITH customer service. The following numbers provide information on the reported condition.

Remedial measures

Remedy no.Description
1Indication of a software fault. The fault can appear like a software fault but it may also be caused by a defective component in the transmission control unit.
  • If possible, use the control unit of an identical vehicle of the fleet and check if the fault still exists.
2Indication of a defective component in the transmission control unit.
  • Replace the control unit.
3Consecutive fault of a shut-down by the safety computer. The fault memory should contain further faults - also those reported by the safety computer. See page "Safety computer messages".
4The safety computer has detected a fault during the test of the dS relay.
  • Check if the relay switches mechanically.
  • Check the relay for pass and correct resistance of the coil.
  • Check the control leads and connected solenoid valve voltage for intactness.
  • Install a new relay.
5Indication of a dataset in the transmission control unit not matching the application.
  • Analyse and write down the responses / malfunction of the vehicle as exactly as possible.
  • Request a new dataset from Voith Turbo. Hold the data of the transmission control unit ready for this.
6Indication of a permanent blocking at the output.
  • Check the control block for blocking pistons / soiled oil channels.
  • Disassemble the transmission at the output in accordance with the repair manual and find out the cause of the fault.
